Highlands Beach is a scenic beach located on the tiny, narrow strip of land of Sea Bright, New Jersey. It is only accessible by foot or on a bike.

Sandy Hook Trail is a scenic path that winds through dunes and maritime forests, providing breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the historic Sandy Hook Lighthouse.

McCarter Pond is a small neighborhood pond off the side of Fair Haven Road. There is a tiny parking area for just a few cars on the western end of the reservoir that also features a picnic table and view out onto the water.

Huber Woods County Park is a peaceful family-friendly park, with wooded paths that cross the rolling hills of the highland, offering a peaceful natural retreat in the middle of the city. The park has picnic areas and the trails are also good for bicycles. Dogs are allowed in the park area, but they must be on a leash. There is a nature center and a visitor center on-site with more information about the park.

Beach D is part of the sequence of beaches in Gateway Area, sitting along the path that runs along the coast. The nice sandy beach offers some facilities, like a grocery store and public toilets. The Park is the gateway from the ocean into New York Harbor, offering green spaces, historic structures, and cultural landscapes alongside the beaches.

Beach C sits in the Gateway National Recreation Area on a narrow peninsula with a long sand bank. It’s at a point where the peninsula is very narrow, so you can have easy access to the beach and to the Shrewsbury River.
