Railroad Lake makes up the heart of Cornerstone Park. There are dirt and paved paths that circle around the reservoir that are popular for walking and jogging. You can connect these loop trails to the longer rail trails passing by here, too.

The Union Pacific Railroad Trail is a multiuse trail that runs alongside active railroad tracks. The path is fully paved and passes through several parks.

Railroad Pass is a pretty barren mountain pass that sits at 2,358 feet (719 meters) in the Black Hills of the River Mountains near Henderson, Nevada. The busy I-11 runs through the pass, but by bike, you can do it on Dawson Avenue or the Union Pacific Railroad Trail running adjacent to it. Failing that, there is the River Mountains Loop Trail on the other side of the I-11.

Mesa Park is a large, 19-acre park in Summerlin South. There are bathrooms, a playground, two tennis courts, three softball/baseball fields, a full-sized basketball court, covered picnic/BBQ areas, and parking. This park is where many park to access the extensive Bears Best Trail System, but is also a good place to park and begin a road cycling adventure on the west side of town.

Permagrin (or Perma Grin) is one of the most popular trails in the Bears Best Trail system that should be ridden from south to north (downhill). Permagrin is comprised of a series of fun washes and gullies that create undulating bumps that skirt the side of the mountain.
