The wayside shrine is dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk and was erected by the Haller family in 1985 and restored in 2019. Saint John of Nepomuk was in the service of the then Archbishop of Prague in 1370 and became caught in the crossfire during a dispute between the archbishop and Wenceslas, King of Bohemia and the Holy Roman Empire. Since the archbishop was able to escape early enough, Wenceslas accused him, tortured him, and then pushed him from Prague's Vltava Bridge into the waters (see picture), where he subsequently drowned.

Unfortunately, there is no access to Klasnic's Wirtshaus from the Schöckl North access road, it is blocked. But the Wallerhùtte is also good. Nevertheless, crossing the Schöckl would be very appealing, I think that is what many people want! Will I live to see it?
