We hiked here from Garmisch Partenkirchen, a good 14 km there and back. The waterfalls are impressive. The power of the water, and there's no entrance fee. It's a highly recommended excursion :-)

The Schalmei Gorge is a beautiful, small, wildly romantic gorge with waterfalls 🌊

Pretty steep path. You should definitely be fit for heights. The path is very narrow and not suitable for beginners. On the side it goes steeply into the depths. Sure-footedness and good shoes are essential.
