Apparently in 2025 it has reopened. Open Thursday to Tuesday 10:00 til 16:30, with warm food until 16:00. Closed on Wednesdays. (In November 2024 it was being completely rebuilt so was closed.)

The Tannenhütte is located above Garmisch Partenkirchen at an altitude of 934 meters. It is surrounded by the wild and romantic mountain world of the Wanks. You have a wonderful view of the Wetterstein massif with the Zugspitze and over the city of Garmisch Partenkirchen. Just a pleasure 🤩👍

Very nice hut made entirely of wood. The drinks and menu have something for everyone at reasonable prices. Excellent panorama.

Great view towards the Zugspitze massif

The climb here is worth it because of the great view. In the alpine pasture you can reward yourself for your exertions with a drink and perhaps something high in calories for your stomach. 😏

A great place with a great view and also accessible by train. The run from Garmisch to Kreuzeck has it all!

Around the Kranzberg is a very beautiful low mountain range, which with its narrow network of paths invites you to enjoy very nice, short hikes. In addition, there are postcard views of the Wetterstein chain and across Mittenwald to the Karwendel ridge.

A wonderful hut with a great view, kissing huts and a playground. We were here in October when the sun was shining and it was wonderful, even though the hut was closed that day. There are well-stocked vending machines with various spritzers as well as ice cream and snacks. The hiking trail from Partenkirchen is varied and sometimes steep. We really liked it!
