The Arnsberg is a mountain in the Rhön region, 843 m above sea level, on the watershed between the Sinn and Brend rivers. It rises three kilometers west of Bischofsheim in the Rhön and four kilometers northeast of Wildflecken. The Arnsberg is only partially forested and therefore offers good views of the higher mountains in its surroundings: the Himmeldunkberg (888 m) to the north, the Heidelstein (926 m) to the northeast, the Kreuzberg (928 m) to the south, and the Dammersfeldkuppe (928 m) to the west. The Kissinger Hütte is a refuge belonging to the Rhön Club in the Rhön. It is located at an altitude of 844 meters on the southern slope of the Heidelstein, one of the highest mountains in the Rhön. The hut was built in 1928 and is named after the spa town of Bad Kissingen, which is about 20 kilometers away. The hut offers overnight accommodation for hikers and skiers, as well as catering with regional specialties. From the hut you have a beautiful view over the Rhön and, if the visibility is good, as far as the Thuringian Forest and the Spessart.

From the Arnsbergblick, a panorama opens up that includes the 843 meter high Arnsberg and other striking elevations of the Rhön. These include the Dammersfeldkuppe, the Heidelstein, the Himmeldunkberg and of course the well-known Kreuzberg. These peaks shape the landscape of the Rhön and offer an impressive picture that unfolds in its full splendor from the Arnsbergblick. The hiking trails between Kreuzberg and Bischofsheim lead through a picturesque landscape and always offer new perspectives on the Arnsberg and the surrounding mountains. These paths are popular not only because of their natural beauty, but also because of their good views of the Rhön mountains. Every step along these paths is a delight for nature lovers and photographers. A special feature of the Arnsbergblick is the small bench that is located before the steeper climb to Kreuzberg. This bench invites hikers to take a well-deserved break and offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the surrounding nature and gather strength for the further climb.
