The Schweden-Hütte is located at 780m above sea level. NN. Built in Canadian log cabin style from 80-year-old local spruce. From the sun terrace you have a unique panoramic view of the Rothaar Mountains. With its quaint and rustic atmosphere, the Schweden-Hütte invites you to stop and, in addition to warm and cold drinks, rustic home-made dishes await you.

Always worth a visit. Delicious food, friendly service and in winter you can warm up here by the fire after a long hike.

The hut is located directly on the Sauerländer Höhenweg. Good for a picnic.

In winter ski hut, right on the slopes. In summer there is a nice place to stop for refreshments and relax.

Especially when the heather is in bloom, the Bald Asten is a sea of flowers. There is also a hotel up here. At 841.9 meters, it is the third highest mountain in the Rothaargebirge after the Langenberg and Hegekopf and the second highest mountain in North Rhine-Westphalia after the Langenberg. The Lenne and Odeborn springs and a high heath are located on the mountain.

The Hunau Hütte belongs to the SGV Bad Fredeburg. In winter, the hut is also partially managed when there is enough snow and the cross-country ski trail can be used. The Hunau trail runs along the hut. Various hiking trails run past the Hunau Hütte, including the following, for example: X25 Hunauweg from Finnentrop to Korbach with a route length of 90 km and the K2 Hunaukammweg from Siedlinghausen to Bad Fredeburg with a route length of 18 km, the stage from Bad Fredeburg to Altastenberg of the Sauerland Höhenflug leads past the Hunau Hütte.
