You can sit on the saddle on the meadow and let your gaze wander all around. A mountain panorama at its finest.

Beautiful ridge with a view of the Karwendel and Mittenwald

An indescribably magnificent view from the saddle down to Mittenwald. The Zugspitze massif can also be seen in the background. On the other side, the Karwendel Mountains continue toward Austria. Here, the view sweeps over enormous scree slopes and mudslides on the opposite slopes.

Fantastic views in both directions: toward Mittenwald and the Wettersteinwand, as well as the Soierngruppe and further east.

Coming from the Hochlandhütte, you can easily reach the Wörnersattel. When we got there, the strong wind on the saddle blew my baseball cap off my head ;-)! Great views from the saddle, especially in the direction of our further path to the Gjaidsteig. Directly at the saddle, a slightly slippery but short descent in wet weather.

There are several hiking car parks here. The early bird...

For public transport users: Boarding the bus is only possible in the direction of Urfeld/Walchensee. In the opposite direction, the bus stop is in Urfeld.

Wonderful all-round view. The short ascent from the Plumsjochhütte up here is worthwhile.
