An unreal landscape - especially in fog, which has the advantage that you can manage the 720 meters of altitude better.

Here you can see the crystal clear and often turquoise meltwater flowing through the gorge.

The Marxenklamm forms an approximately 140 meter long narrow section of the Ramsauer Ache from the end of the magic forest to behind the Marxenbrücke. In this area, the average width of around 10 meters is reduced to less than half, thus ensuring a significantly higher flow speed and water whirlpools on the irregularly shaped walls. In these whirlpools, the stones from the Klausbachtal that are transported in the water rub against the rock walls and thus create smooth depressions on the walls and in the ground (so-called “scours”). In the gorge, two mountains with different types of rock face each other: the Reiter Alpe and the Hochkaltermassif. In this fault zone, the Dachstein limestone meets on the south side with the overlying Liaskalk from the Hochkalter andwerfen layers of the Reiter Alpe, with the Dachstein limestone dipping at an inclination of around 30 degrees beneath the much olderwerfen layers.

From here there is a good view across to Wimbachgries with its debris deposits.

From the Soleleitungsweg there is a good view over to the debris streams of Wimbachgries.

From Wikipedia: Huge debris flows are characteristic of the Wimbach valley, which is why the upper part of the valley is also called Wimbachgries. At the end of the valley, they are a good 1.5 km wide. Weathering material is moving down from the Palfelhorn area. The rubble is constantly but imperceptibly moving under the influence of gravity. After heavy rainfall, larger material shipments can be observed.
