In the heart of Fulda stands this magnificent church, which looks as if a Baroque architect had said: "More columns! More stucco! And two towers, please—but different ones!" Inside: gleaming marble and ceiling art. Outside: the city coat of arms, a clock, and Saint Blaise, who keeps an eye on everything.

The Old Town Hall is one of the city's most beautiful half-timbered buildings and stands directly on Borgiasplatz next to the city parish church. It was built in 1531 and served as the seat of the city council, council chamber, and trading center until 1782. Its Gothic turrets, imposing gable, and lovingly restored half-timbered facade are particularly striking. After a controversial partial reconstruction in the 1960s and further renovation in 2014, the building now shines in its historic splendor once again—with modern shops inside and a Madonna statue as an eye-catcher.

A visit to the Wasserkuppe is always very nice.
