Beautiful lake. Easily accessible from the Kaunergrat Hut via the Steinbockjoch Pass. We then continued to the Verpeiljoch Pass and the Verpeil Hut. There are also many other trails available from there.

Small mountain lake that has almost dried up.

An absolute highlight of this lake, you can see it from the summit

The direct ascent via the very steep gravel road is definitely not worth it. The so-called lake is definitely not a highlight! The path down towards the waterfall is very beautiful, though. There are a few sections over scree, but it's all doable! Surefootedness is required!

Beautiful panorama, nice walk and afterwards you can have a nice drink or meal in the restaurant there :-)

Anyone who sets off in the early hours of the morning will be rewarded with magical lighting and absolute mountain solitude. But even a little later, the path remains pleasantly quiet. Hikers reach a highlight at the Weißkar, where a green mountain lake nestles in a hollow. After around 4.5 hours of walking, the inns in the quaint mountaineering village of Vent are just the thing to restore energy levels and reflect on the day over some tasty treats. Tip: You should only start the high-altitude panoramic trail if the weather forecast is stable, as there is no option to descend into the valley early.
