The Madatschkopf (2,778 meters) offers an exciting mountain hike with impressive views over the Kaunertal Valley. In good weather, the view extends to the surrounding peaks of the Ötztal and Kaunertal Alps.

The Mooskopf in the Kaubachtal Valley, Austria, is an impressive 2,532-meter-high mountain that offers hikers a rewarding challenge. It is located in the Kaunertal Valley, a region known for its beautiful views of the Tyrolean Alps.

Short detour from the Brandenburger Haus to the Dahmannspitze, 20 minutes to the summit, from here you have great views of the Ötztal glacier world (Kesselwandferner, Gepatschferner); view of the Weisskugel, Finailspitze, Similaun and many more.

Bizarre glacier landscape all around, fantastic sunsets, good food

Wonderful panorama with a view of the glaciers. From the small Aifnerspitze there are no signs but they are marked. The last 100 meters are steep and require scrambling.

Very well managed, playground available

Magnificent views from the summit. Simply wonderful! The last few meters are a little more challenging.

The 360 degree view is fantastic and you can see almost all the mountain tours all around. So good for the first or last day in the Kaunertal. Easy way from the Ochsenalm car park to the summit, also good to do with children in about 2.5 hours. Take enough drinking water with you.
