The Kaiserjochhaus (2,310 m) is located directly on the main ridge of the Lechtal Alps in the Northern Limestone Alps. Located between Kaisers in the Lechtal and Pettneu in the Stanzertal on the Arlberg, on the meadows of the Kaiserjoch, it offers an impressive panorama with peaks such as the Grieskopf or the Malatschkopf. The diverse types of rock and the varied flora and fauna make the Kaiserjochhaus in Tyrol particularly attractive for nature lovers, connoisseurs and explorers.

The main ridge of the Allgäu Alps runs over the 1688 meter high Schrofenpass. Broken sections are secured with steel cables and two aluminum bridges. We actually came across mountain bikers carrying their bikes up the steep pass. They were on their way to Riva del Garda. Since it had rained shortly before, it was quite slippery. But the pass was still doable.

From Oberstorf you can easily drive up very far. Then comes a beverage fountain hut. The entrance to the pass begins with a steep hiking trail, where the bike has to be lifted over some high stones. At the top again very steep over the 10-15 steps. After the stairs is a curve with an exposed 5m long narrow piece. The sign is there too. After that, the path is not as bad as it is always described, as it is wide enough. Lifting the bike over the stairs is also quite unspectacular. Can also be done with a 25kg e-bike if you can hold the bike in your hand for a few seconds and hold on to the railing of the stairs with the other hand.
