It connects several real highlights – Schwansbell Castle and Castle Park, and the lakeside park with its beach and café. You can also simply cycle down to the canal and then continue from there. For people with a specific destination, it's also a great car-free connection from Altlünen to Horstmar or Dortmund-Nord. Hope this is helpful 🖖

Small pond that seemed almost dried out even after weeks of continuous rain and looked rather sad. I understand the appeal of water in the forest, but that really wasn't great - today! There are a lot of benches around it, all of which were occupied; apparently the pond (on a sign it was called "duck pond") is quite popular after all
