This lake is almost circular in shape and is 170 meters long and 140 meters wide, with its deepest point measuring an impressive 11 meters. Originally built as a Slavic castle over a thousand years ago, over the centuries this beautiful, magnificent fairytale castle has been created, rightfully on the World Heritage List. Embedded in the lake landscape, you can stroll through the lovingly designed gardens, visit the castle museum, or visit the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, which has its seat here.
