The bridge serves as a shortcut if we don't have time to walk all the way around the pond. It offers beautiful views of the water on both sides.

Wonderful for cycling, relaxing and running. The avenues provide pleasant cooling on hot summer days.

It's a lovely place to go for a walk. However, the main path is a combined cycle and footpath, so you can't really walk side by side as there are always cyclists on the road. That's a real shame.

No spectacular panoramic views are to be expected on a hike through the Königsforst, but a body of water like this offers a nice little change in the forest. Especially when blue sky and white clouds are reflected on the surface.

In summer, you can rent boats. The newly built kiosk has a nice selection at reasonable prices. Supposedly, this is where you can find the most beautiful sunset in Cologne. Even on weekends or holidays, it's never crowded.
