グラーツの市庁舎前広場は、印象的なグラーツ市庁舎の前に位置し、ハゥプトプラッツ（中央広場）と共に街の政治的・社会的な中心を形成しています。現在の市庁舎は19世紀に歴史主義様式で建てられ、その壮麗なファサードが街の景観を特徴づけています。この広場は、人気の待ち合わせ場所であり、数多くのイベント、市場、祭りの会場となっています。中心部に位置するため、市庁舎前広場はグラーツ旧市街を探索するのに理想的な出発点です。

エルツヘルツォーク・ヨハン噴水は1878年からグラーツのメイン広場にあり、街で最も有名な記念碑の一つです。中央には、シュタイアーマルク州の教育、経済、文化の発展に特に尽力したオーストリア大公ヨハンの像があります。噴水の台座には、シュタイアーマルク州の主要な川であるムル川、ドラウ川、エンス川、ザン川（サヴィニャ川）を表す4つの人物像が立っています。この噴水は、グラーツの中心部にある人気の待ち合わせ場所であり、重要なランドマークです。
