The Church of the Holy Trinity was the church of the Stabile Orphanage, also known as the "new abbey," and was founded together with the charitable institution in 1848 by Don Pietro Stabile. The orphanage, unused after the 1968 earthquake, has a trapezoidal block plan and an internal cloister around which two areas are organized: sleeping and living areas and a worship area with the church and sacristy.
