Pont Marquis Bridge Spanning the Afon Cefni, carrying the Trefdraeth to Llangaffo road, c. 3km ENE of Malltraeth. The bridge, which is Grade II listed, was built in the early C19, was named for the Earl of Uxbridge, first Marquis of Anglesey. It gives wonderful scenery over the marsh land and plenty of wildlife.

The only crossing point for the Afon Cefni between the coast and the A5, with great views over the marshes and the straightened channel of the river.

Their are many walks around not just the beach. Plenty of info about and clean toilets. You can buy a yearly parking pass for around £70 it only needs using above a 2 week visit to be of a benefit.

Great forest and beach. There are loads of edible mushrooms in the forest for anyone who is a keen forager.

A beautiful tranquil place to take a few moments to enjoy the scenery. The old stone bridge here over the Cefni and the view onwards to the marshes are so so nice.

This forest is one of the most important red squirrel conservation areas in the UK. Before 1947 (when reforestation began) the entire area consisted mainly of shifting dunes. In the late 1970s and 1980s there were fears that water levels in the forest and adjacent forest areas would fall, causing winter floods to no longer reach the same depth and dune floodplains to dry out more quickly. In 2004 it was proposed to remove large parts of the forest. The local community and conservation groups objected and a public consultation was held in 2008 on the future management of Newborough Forest.

Newborough forest features two family friendly cycling trails as well as a host of other forestry tracks that are ideal for easy trail riding. There are no trails graded above green so you should encounter no technical issues. The tracks are wide and other than navigating your way along the veritable maze of tracks you should easily finish a 15km loop without crossing over onto previous trails.
