Beautiful fast lane through the trees

A nice lane between Crudwell and Oaksey.

Oaksey is a pretty Cotswold village in Wiltshire, very close to the Gloucestershire boarder. It is thought that there has been a settlement here since 4500 BCE but the earliest evidence are the Bronze age Round Barrows. The 15th centaury church is the oldest surviving building now.

Used to be very good. Slightly disappointing selection on last visit. Best turn up early of opt for somewhere else if you want something more substantial.

A nice place to stop for a while, there is a little bench to rest just to the right of the church.

A pleasant place to stop and fill the water bottle. Microwave available in the shop if you fancy a hot snack.

Another one of the many fantastic quiet roads in this area. Magnificent views over open countryside.

A somewhat unusual design with a short tower, but an impressive looking nave.

Small & quiet lanes

No traffic makes for a pleasant ride.

Even though it's small, it's nice to stretch the legs after riding along the flat Swindon countryside!

Yet another beautiful and quiet lane in this area.

There seems to be any number of gorgeous lanes in this area. Most are flat, in very good condition and most importantly, very quiet. What's not to like?
