約16メートルの高さとわずかな傾斜を持つクームタワーは、ボルケン市の城壁の真のランドマークです。その独特な形状は遠くからでも目を引き、その背後にある物語への好奇心をかき立てます。 「Fünf Türme-Tour」（5つの塔ツアー）の一環として、タワーの1階では、ボルケンの芸術家ユリア・シリー＝コッパーズの作品に関連するオーディオステーションを体験できます。水辺にあるタワーの、変化に富み、エキサイティングに演出された物語に浸ってください！

ボルケンのマルクト広場には、古い市庁舎のある側面に、いくつかの飲食店、記念碑、その他の見どころがあります。

南側身廊の東壁には、14世紀前半のいわゆる「ボルケナー・ガベルクルツィフィクス」が掛けられています。1953年には、このクルツィフィクスは多大な労力をかけて修復することができました。その際、キリストの頭部の中に、羊皮紙に包まれた木の遺物が発見され、「ピラトゥスがイエス・キリストの足元に釘で打ち付けた木または梁から」という碑文がありました。

Wedemhoveturmは15世紀に建てられ、高さは約15メートル、直径は6メートルです。1908年には、アクセスを容易にするために階段塔が追加されました。今日、Wedemhoveturmは散歩や自然愛好家にとって人気の目的地となっています。1980年代以降、Natur- und Vogelschutzverein Kreis Borken e.V.がこの塔の利用者となっています。この協会は、塔を会議の場としてだけでなく、環境教育や自然観察のプラットフォームとしても利用しています。

🪨 The Roman Lake – Rest Stop on the Cursed Stones Trail The Roman Lake is located near the trail to the so-called "cursed stones" and is the perfect place to rest or spend the night. Those hiking or cycling the trail will find a peaceful spot amidst woods and fields to pitch their tent or simply take a break. The area is natural, with a level shoreline and a clear view of the sunset – ideal for a night in nature. From a cultural and historical perspective, the name "Roman Lake" is likely derived from ancient settlements and roads dating back to Roman times. Finds in the surrounding area suggest that Roman traders and troops once passed through here as they established trade routes across Westphalia. The lake may have served as a watering place on an old trade or military route – hence the name. The Roman Lake is of particular cultural and historical interest because it likely refers to ancient settlements and roads from Roman times. Today, the quiet surroundings hardly remind one of that time, but the combination of nature, history and mysticism makes the place a special stopover – especially if one is hiking in the footsteps of the cursed stones.
