The car-free, former railway bridge connects Kupferdreh at the level of the former train station with the Heisinger Bogen bird sanctuary.

excellent for relaxing

The former railway bridge, which has only been accessible on foot or by bike since 1984, spans the water in a striking manner. A beautiful and worthwhile sight.

Dusk is falling as I cross the Ruhr on the Konrad Adenauer Bridge. The river is still carrying a fair amount of water, so it is questionable whether the path through the Holthauser Ruhraue is clear. It is not just the less tempting alternatives that lead me into the floodplain, the path is clear and I can enjoy the proximity to the river once again at blue hour. And then I treat myself to a break.

A beautiful lake, great for walking, jogging and/or cycling

The lake panorama is and remains unique and it is a little different every day and every year. I look forward to it every week🤗
