Smooth and flat rail trail great for cycling a significant distance, with connections to multiple other trails.

Great flat trail with access to the towns along the way.

This Road connects the Madison County Transit Goshen Trail to POAG Road, which is part of the Adventure Cycling Association's Highway 66 route. It has a good shoulder on either side and is in good condition. Note that there is quite a lot of truck traffic on this roadway. I would NOT recommend this to families with young children.

Edwardsville is a historic city in Illinois. It was first settled in 1805 by Thomas Kirkpatrick. There are 39 buildings in the city that are listed as historic buildings and are mostly located in the downtown area.

The MCT Nature Trail is an almost 15-mile long trail from Edwardsville to Granite City. It is a wonderful, paved trail that is traffic-free except for several street crossings.

The MCT Goshen Trail is considered the spine of the MCT Trail system. There are 5 other trails that connect into this trail. The path is fully paved and mostly flat. This is a beautiful section of the path. It passes through a mix of woodland, suburbs and open fields.

Nice biking and pedestrian-only bridge. The MCT Trail has several bridges to cross busy roads, and this is one of the longest.
