The church square in Altenburschla is at least as beautiful as the entire village. It's well worth driving or hiking through this charming little village.

Be sure to stop by; the ambiance is unbeatable. There are seating areas right by the water, and canoeists can also moor up and enjoy themselves.

These huts are often found along the trail. Some communities make them even more cozy with flowers, tablecloths, and magazines.

A very old fortified church, parts of which date back to the 12th century. It can be visited. The altar, by the way, was a chance find in the attic and is said to be very old as well. It was probably built around 1450.

Worth seeing old town on the mountain

Northeast of the village, on the so-called Kirchberg, is the burial pyramid of the von Capella(n) family, dating from 1776. Buried in it are the last two members of the family, Friederica von Cornberg and Adam Friedrich von Cappela(n), who died in 1776 and 1779, respectively. (Excerpt from Wikipedia) On the cycle path, you pass the burial pyramid and can get a good look at it.
