Nice new cycle path that lets you avoid the country road between Altdorf and Birnthon. However, I only think it makes sense for racing cyclists, as there are several parallel paths in the forest that lead from Altdorf towards Fischbach. It's also a shame that it ends abruptly in Birnthon (border between Nuremberg and the city) and will probably not be built any further.

Unusual route. You drive through the forest on asphalt (with potholes!) and hear the motorway traffic. I like driving here.

It is worth taking a look inside this field church. There you can admire a late Gothic cross-ribbed vault as well as an impressive high altar and frescoes from the 16th century.

Until well into the 19th century, Schwaiger Castle was the centre of the small village in the Pegnitz Valley. In September 1992, after renovation, it was given a new purpose as a meeting place and a venue for cultural purposes.
