Havelchaussee is almost always a good option and the number one cycling spot in southwest Berlin. It's about 10 km along the Havel River on undulating terrain through the Grunewald forest. The asphalt is of medium quality. Traffic is heavy in good weather and on weekends.

This section was resurfaced as part of the new sewer system, so it's in perfect condition. It's part of the wider part of the Crown. It's a particularly good place to pose on weekends.

After months of full closure during the week and only partial opening on weekends, the crown now has brand-new asphalt. Officially opened on July 11, 2025. Rolling along perfectly.
