The village church in Lebien, a district of Annaburg in the Wittenberg district of Saxony-Anhalt, was built at the beginning of the 13th century and consecrated as St. Mary's Church in 1234. It is a listed building site. Its main construction material was bog ironstone from the Lochau Heath. It features exceptionally rich Renaissance furnishings.

A really impressive castle, with the white facades well maintained and obviously in use, and the yellow house inside looking a bit run down. Hopefully something will happen there. Annaburg is worth a visit. Like everything in the area, it's a relatively isolated area, but it's interesting to see what has already been refurbished and what hasn't. A slightly larger town in the area with supermarkets and other retail outlets.
