After the short walk around Konigssee, we enjoyed a homemade apple pie with whipped cream. Hmm, that was good.

Königssee is a mountain lake located largely within Berchtesgaden National Park. Nestled between the steep slopes of the Watzmann and Hagen Mountains, this elongated lake, along with the smaller Obersee lake to the southeast – around which the Steinernes Meer forms the valley's edge – has a fjord-like character. From the Königssee parking lot, a path leads past the picturesque boathouses into the national park. Past the former Café Malerwinkl, the walk leads to the so-called Malerwinkel (Painter's Corner). This hike is also very popular as a winter walk, as the path to Malerwinkl is cleared and gritted during these times.

Right next to the Jenner valley station. Beautifully and lovingly furnished interiors with lots of wood. A beer garden outside. Good local food, friendly service. I highly recommend it.

The Jenner Kaser restaurant is located right at the valley station of the Jenner Bahn. It is rustically furnished and offers a lovely atmosphere both inside and out. The service is very friendly and the food is really tasty. The prices are absolutely OK...you can get wheat beer here for under 5 euros. If the weather is bad, there are toys inside for the children.
