From here, you have a wonderful view from the Vogelberg over the valley of the still "young" Nidda River and the dam, all the way into the Wetterau region and, on a clear day, to the Taunus Mountains on the horizon. It's best to take photos early in the morning to avoid the sun's backlight.

The Lüder spring (left Lüder) near Hartmannshain is a reliable indicator of the water situation in the region. In summer, there is sometimes barely a trickle to be seen or the spring dries up completely. The almost 40-kilometer-long Lüder, which gives its name to three places on its banks, is then only fed by secondary springs and streams before it flows into the Fulda near Lüdermünd. Incidentally, the Lüder has another spring (right Lüder) near Bermutshain.
