The Joshua M. Hardt Memorial Trail is an almost 4-mile trail that circles Sugar Pine Reservoir. There are great views from the path of the water. The trail also passes over Sugar Pine Dam, which is an earth fill embankment dam completed in 1982.

The Dutch Flat Trading Post is open every day from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is right across the street from the Golden Drift Museum and the Dutch Flat Hotel. Here, visitors can grab some groceries, alcoholic drinks, and send a letter.

Sugar Pine Reservoir Dam serves as the water supply for the Foresthill community. Visitors can find a day-use and swimming area featuring restrooms, drinking water facilities, and a campground just 1.2 miles down Iowa Hills Road heading east. The reservoir is home to rainbow trout and bass.

The biggest highlight on the Euchre Bar Trail is this incredible suspension footbridge crossing the North Fork American River. Both the bridge and the view of the bridge down into the gorge the North Fork American River has formed are spectacular sights to see and definitely worth the steep hike down/up the trailhead.
