Good views and smooth concrete boulevard

The Queensway Bridge spans 1,200 feet across the Los Angeles River, connecting Long Beach and the Queen Mary, with traffic lanes and a dedicated pedestrian sidewalk. This iconic structure has also been a popular filming location for numerous television shows and movies, including “CSI: Miami” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.” At night, the bridge is beautifully illuminated with 1,000 feet of lights in vibrant colors like purple, green, turquoise, and gold. It’s an ideal spot for stunning photographs, especially at sunrise and sunset.

The Shoreline Pedestrian/Bicycle Path is a scenic 4.3-mile trail that runs along the pristine white sand beach and the Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier, connecting the Long Beach Shoreline Marina to Belmont Shore. The path is 17 feet wide, with designated bike and pedestrian lanes, providing plenty of space for everyone. It's a fantastic path for a run, with stunning ocean views dotted with anchored ships and framed by the beautiful landscapes of Palos Verdes and the San Gabriel River.

Lions Lighthouse is a decorative 10-story "faux" lighthouse located in Shoreline Marine. It is dedicated to Lions Clubs International’s mission to end blindness. The surrounding park is a great spot for picnics and photos. Just across the water is Parkers' Lighthouse, an award-winning restaurant.

Wonderfully wide beach, the bike path right in the middle.

This beautiful marina was built in 1983 as the sailing facility for the 1984 summer Olympics. The views out over the harbour are great, especially if you like boats. There is also a shoreline beach bike path here but beware as it gets somewhat busy.

Just half an hour from Los Angeles is Long Beach, which is most probably the most famous beach in the world. It is simply an oceanfront gem with its beautiful beaches, marinas and busy dining and shopping scene. It also provides a runner sublime surroundings to run through....and it's flat!

The Lions Lighthouse is a decommissioned lighthouse located on the headland of Shoreline Park. It was built by the Downtown Long Beach Lions Club as a reminder of the Lions Clubs International’s dedication to ending blindness in the world. It is a very popular photo venue.
