Pros: Direct connection through the Sachsenwald forest between Grande and Aumühle, often on solid sandy forest paths. Cons: A long stretch of cobblestones near the underpass under Kreisstraße, with occasional thicker stones along the path and remnants of tree felling.

The village pond in Brunstorf is idyllically located near the church. It's a perfect place to linger.

This route is really not recommended for retro-naturel...sand is just one thing, and rough stones don't make the ride any more pleasant...no eye for the beautiful nature, as you have to concentrate so hard on the road - maybe it was better in the past. A sandy stretch is tolerable, but over such a long stretch (it feels like an eternity)... Since we wanted to go to Groß Pampau (to the gravel pit lake) and all other options (via Steinau, etc.) would have been too much of a detour, we decided to go this way...maybe in the other direction, then you'd have less of an incline.

In April 2025, we had trouble following the route in the Sachsenwald forest. The navigation system kept saying right. There was nothing there. Then we turned around. Right. Turn around. No path in sight, but right. We cursed a lot.

Wotersen itself is worth seeing. It's home to the Guldenburg Castle. And while you're here, you can stop off at the Heitmann Inn. They serve coffee, cake, ice cream, and, of course, lunch. The inn is highly recommended.👍👍😊😊

The well-kept cemetery is located around the Elisabeth Church under a ring of linden trees in the middle of the town, in the middle of life. The parish includes the towns of Havekost, Dassendorf and Brunstorf. The church is usually open for prayer and silence on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A bench in the cemetery by the idyllic village pond also invites you to take your time and find peace.
