I would like to say: a beautiful place in every season. I was here at the end of November: the moor was still very colorful.

There are many piers along the water here. Most of them are off-limits. You need to be aware of that.

Einfelder See is a must!

There's a drinking water dispenser here. It's made of stainless steel; you could walk right past it. It was very useful today...

The route is not designed as a cycling route, and bicycles are prohibited in some areas. The majority of it is open only to bicycles, not e-bikes.

Impressive moorland landscape. A bit bumpy to drive.

You can easily walk along the ring wall of the historic site. A footpath winds through a double row of ancient oaks.

The eastern part of the probably circular rampart, facing the lake, is now missing. The remaining rampart is interrupted by a gap of around 30 metres in the west. The entire complex is around 1.5 metres above the level of the surrounding fields, and the rampart is up to four metres high. The remaining parts are covered with a row of oak trees, but are still clearly visible. The town of Neumünster has placed the area under landscape protection. The inner castle consists of an open grassy area. Paths lead along the rampart and through the inner castle.
