Kirkkonummi has a diverse landscape, which includes rural countryside, a long coastline on the Gulf of Finland, and beautiful nature. It's a bilingual municipality, with both Finnish and Swedish as official languages. The area is an excellent destination for outdoor activities and nature enthusiasts. You can find opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and cycling, with several nature areas like Nuuksio National Park, Porkkalanniemi Recreational Area, and the Meiko Nature Reserve.

On the eastern shores of Meiko, Meikon säästömetsä is a gloriously rich woodland to explore. The trails are a joy to run and form a part of the 7-kilometre Meikonkierros loop.

Meiko is a gorgeous body of water and provides trail runners with an excellent lake loop of around 7-kilometres. The gradients are relatively gentle, so it's not one for those looking to increase their hill fitness.

From this section of the Meikonkierros you're treated to sumptuous views across the lake. A loop of Meiko is around 7-kilometres and makes for a superb trail run.
