Very nice rest area with historical background.

The last few meters to the summit. If you're approaching from the side of the radar installations, you'll have to push your bike from the buildings onward, as there's a no-ride ban from here. Funnily enough, if you're approaching from the Arber Schutzhaus, there's no ban, and you can ride unhindered all the way to the summit.

Wonderful nature, pure Bohemian Forest feeling!

The dam was built in 1969 by flooding the valley of Úhlava/Angel. The stone dam is 36 m high and 337 m wide. The capacity of the reservoir is one million m3. A lovely place to linger.

The Nýrsko Dam (Czech: Vodní nádrž Nýrsko) is a drinking water dam on the Úhlava in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers south of Nýrsko in the Klatovy District. The place is ideal for a short rest.

Hůrka (German: Hurkenthal) is a defunct glassmaking village in the Bohemian Forest with a surprisingly interesting history. The former Hůrka is located about 7 km east of Železná Ruda. It was founded in 1732 in the Hafenbrändl glassworks. In 1766, a new glass factory was founded near the original smelting works.
