The village square in Kirchberg is the central heart of the town and a popular meeting place for locals and visitors alike. Surrounded by traditional inns, cafés, small shops, and the bandstand, it offers a cozy atmosphere in every season. In summer, regular open-air concerts, culinary evenings such as the "Kost.Bar," the traditional Kirchtagsmarkt (church fair), and the popular village festival take place here. Events such as the flower parade in August and the atmospheric Christmas market in December also make the square a cultural hub. With its central location and lively program of events, the village square is an ideal place to linger, enjoy, and experience.

The original Hahnenkammbahn cable car opened in 1929 and was one of the first cable cars in the Alps – a milestone in alpine tourism. It has been modernized several times over the years. Today, the Hahnenkammbahn is a modern 10-person gondola that takes visitors from the valley station at 762 meters above sea level to the mountain station on the Hahnenkamm at 1,712 meters in just about eight minutes. It operates year-round and is ideal for hikers, skiers, and especially mountain bikers: bicycles can be easily transported, making the cable car a perfect starting point for numerous mountain bike tours in the Kitzbühel mountains.
