The Rottau power plant and the Rottau balancing reservoir constitute the main stage of the Malta power plants in the Möll Valley. The water flows from the Galgenbichel reservoir and the Gößkar reservoir to the power plant via a pressure tunnel and a two-line pressure pipeline. A large portion of the water from this main stage is then dammed together with the water from the Möll River at the Rottau basin weir and subsequently fed via the open headwater canal and the Sachsenweg tunnel to the lower stage of the Malta power plants for further energy generation.

Be careful of fire extinguishers in this area

It's a pleasant road with not too much traffic. However, you should approach the hairpin bend slowly on the descent and be careful of oncoming traffic. Otherwise, you can just coast along ;)

A narrow and winding cycle path, you should definitely ride one behind the other and not crash too much as you always have to expect excursion traffic. Otherwise, however, definitely recommended!

The title says it all. Little to no traffic, absolutely perfect asphalt that invites you to roll and bang, slightly shaded, everything perfect! This is how road cycling should be!
