The Jūrmala cycling route is a dream for road cyclists who love the speed. The asphalt is smooth and perfect for cruising along while nature gently passes by the side of the road. The slender birch trees that line the route make you feel like you are cycling through a green avenue. The railway line next to it adds a touch of urban flair and reminds you that you are not too far from civilization. An ideal section to get into a pleasant rhythm and let your mind wander - freedom on two wheels!

The cathedral is located in the former military area of Karosta, it looks impressive from the outside and can be visited.

The cathedral stands on a high concrete base covered with granite and sandstone. The walls are made of red brick and are faced with yellow bricks streaked with intricate patterns. The central dome of the cathedral is surrounded by four smaller domes symbolizing Jesus Christ surrounded by four apostles - evangelists. The high bell tower above the main entrance of the temple reminds us of John the Baptist, who proclaimed the kingdom of God. The central altar, like the entire temple, was dedicated in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, whom sailors have long considered their heavenly patron saint and prayer book. The southern aisle (altar) was consecrated in honor of the Epiphany (Baptism of the Lord). The north chapel is dedicated to Saint Alexis, a miracle worker who lived in the 14th century.
