The wall has been damming the water of the Teigitsch since 1950. At almost 60 meters, the dam is the highest dam wall in Styria. A footbridge leads pedestrians along the wall. In 2021 the new path for pedestrians was inaugurated.

The dam is always interesting to look at. There is a public one at the Ströhbernen Bridge Bathing area and of course a circular hiking trail around the barrier is marked.

Wonderful route away from traffic. When the weather is nice, view of Hochgößnitz ... Köflach. Also suitable for racing cyclists. Only a little bit on gravel ... but very fine or smooth. On the Alp is just beautiful 🤩
