Brantford Rail Bridge, or Brant's Crossing Bridge, is a pedestrian bridge that was once a railway line. The bridge has two trusses, but they are not exactly identical in construction, making it unique. There are great views over the Grand River, and it's a safe place to spot wildlife like beavers and birds.

You can also ride a bike as the trail is relatively easy

Check out the Waterford bridge, but also take some time to ride into downtown on the trail, which will take you by the Waterford ponds.

These ruins are of the second house built on this property when it was acquired by the Leiths in the 1850's. It burned down in 1934, although the daughter of the Leiths continued living on the premises in a smaller house within it. There are plenty of ghost stories surrounding this place, mostly stemming from the death of William Black, who appeared hung in the barn, following a truncated love affair with a relative of the previous owner of the estate, Otto Ives.

Great spot just off Brantford-Port Dover trail on Mount Pleasant/Burtch Road. Fresh market, bakery, & food. Had yummy cabbage rolls for breakfast after breaking camp in Waterford and. 20 km warmup.
