リマは、何もない場所の真ん中にある素晴らしい休憩地です。高速道路沿いのレストランの後ろには、歴史的なキャビンがあります。夕方にステーキハウスに行こうとする場合は、予約をしてください。町の中心的なホテルは老朽化していましたが、経営者が変わったと聞きました。それが改善につながることを願っています。この町のガソリンスタンドは、ここからアイダホ州アイランドパークまでのGDMBR（南行き）の途中で補給する主な場所です。北行きの場合は、PolarisのMa BarnesかWiseが利用できます。

Bannackは非常にきれいに復元されたゴーストタウンです。キャンプ場もあります。

Lima is a crucial stop for those on riding the Great Divide or racing on the Tour Divide. This small town has welcome amenities that are hard to come by in this remote region and it also offers great chances to spot wildlife such as pronghorn and you be treated to the big skies that Montana is famous for.

Designated as a National Historic Landmark Bannack is Montana's best preserved gold rush era Ghost Town. You can visit the town on your own, or take a tour from the Visitor's Center if you arrive between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Camping is available for those who would like to stay a while.

Bannock Pass sits at 7,684 feet of elevation. The road from here leads down toward Leadore, a common resupply point for CDT thru-hikers.

Though the Continental Divide Trail straddles the Idaho and Montana border for around 350 miles southeast of here, this is the point, just above Chief Joseph Pass, where the trail northward finally departs the border. From here, the CDT plunges into Montana on its way to Glacier National Park and Canada.

There are a number of campsites within the preceding 2-3 miles, but my recommendation here… PUSH. This site offers stunning views down to Henry’s Lake, over which the sunset and sunrise are immaculate! Make sure to pack extra water though- during dryer seasons, this site in in the middle of a 17 mile water carry! Though it is worth every ounce of extra weight to witness the amazing colors of the sky at dawn and dusk!

A memorial for the Untied States Army's 7th Cavalry, Crow, and Arikara scouts and the Lakotas, Cheyennes, and Arapaho Native Americans. Here in 1876 many of the Native Americans fought to preserve their way of life. Lt. Col. George A. Custer died fighting several thousand Native American Warriors.
