Great trip! If you're not used to the elevation, give yourself time to acclimate. I only acclimated for about a week and had to take frequent breaks past tree line, but we'll worth the trip. Barr Trail is also a great trip. "Easier" but longer than this path. 10/10, especially for submitting one of Colorado's 14ers!

If you get up early, it's worth driving up the mountain in your own car. Where else can you drive up a four-thousand-meter peak?

Pikes Peak, the pinnacle of the southern Front Range, pays tribute to American explorer Zebulon Pike. Surpassing all points east in the U.S., its summit offers breathtaking, majestic views.

Mount Muscoco is a fantastic peak in North Cheyenne Canon in the foothills of Pikes Peak. It is usually accessed via the Mount Cutler trail. Although Cutler and Muscoco are very close to each other, and tagging both peaks makes for a great day out, Muscoco is far less popular than Cutler and feels much quieter. You get great views from the summit, which is a nice place to rest, sip some water, and snap a few photos.

Mays Peak is located high up in North Cheyenne Canyon. This 8283-foot summit is nestled in the foothills of Pikes Peak and is relatively quiet in comparison to others in the area. The top is sparsely treed and offers fantastic views over the canyon and of the city.

This is the most renowned mountain in the Monument area, standing at almost, 9000 feet above sea level. With a steady incline to the top, it offers a challenging yet rewarding summit experience that grants you stunning views of Pikes Peak and the front range.
