Lone Wolf Trail is a fun woodland trail in Castlewood State Park. Parts of the path can be rocky and rooty underfoot, so be mindful where you step. There are some wonderful views on offer across the Meramec River from parts of the trail.

From this scenic viewpoint in Castlewood State Park you can enjoy sensational views down the winding Meramec River. It's a great place to stop and catch your breath for a moment on a run.

The Bluff View Trail derives its name from having a handful of exceptional scenic viewpoints that overlook the Meramec River and surrounding countryside. There are some nice ups and downs on this route to get the legs working, but there are a few rocky and rooty sections, so mind your footing. There are a few bikers on this route, so you may want to keep your earphone volume to a minimum so you can hear them coming.

This is a beautiful lookout and great place to catch your breath on the Bluff View Trail. The trail is known for its scenic viewpoints, and this is probably the best of the bunch.

The River Bluff Trail is a more technical loop that flows through rock gardens and a ledge drop. Both take you through heavily wooded areas with ponds, sinkholes, and a variety of wildlife.
