Sunset Rock is a popular overlook on Lookout Mountain, offering breathtaking views of the Chattanooga Valley, especially at sunset. A short but steep hike via Kiddie Trail leads to the overlook. This trail is less popular than others due to its challenging nature, but the views along the way and at the top make it well worth the effort.

Mountain Beautiful Trail winds along the mountain, with rocky outcroppings scattered throughout the forest. The trail is well-marked but less traveled than others in the area, so it may be slightly overgrown at the beginning—though nothing too difficult to navigate. It offers a peaceful walk through the forest with the chance to enjoy some solitude. You can combine it with Hardy Trail, which is also less popular and slightly challenging at first. Together, these trails provide a unique perspective of the area and offer beautiful views along the way.

Lower Truck Loop Trail features a mix of forest, rocky ridges, and views of the river. The trail is well-marked but less visited than other trails in Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, offering a chance for solitude. When combined with the Skyuka Trail, it becomes a longer hike, so plan ahead, wear proper hiking shoes, and bring plenty of water.

The guild trail crosses the Incline Rail in this spot. The Incline Railway travels from below Lookout Mountain up to Point Park. Other than this train track crossing, the Guild Trail is mostly secluded double-track trail.
