Quiet stretch with a good hill

This park welcomes you at the entrance of Eastsound Village. Despite its small size, it is packed with a lot of beauty. With around 100 feet of shoreline overlooking Fishing Bay, keep an eye out in the water, and you may see some nice wildlife swimming around.

Fowler Pond is a reservoir visible from Orcas Road. The pond is frequented by various bird species, including the Sharp-shinned Hawk, Barred Owl, and Bald Eagle.

This lovely lake sits just off Roche Harbor Road. As you pedal by, you might also spot a series of yurts on the peninsula that extends into the lake, giving it its name. This is Lakedale Resort, where you can book a stay in one of the yurts if you so desire.

All of Lime Kiln State Park is renowned for being a great place for watching whales from the shore, but this is one of the best lookouts.

You may have to dismount your bike to get to this overlook, but it's absolutely worth the effort. The park all around you is renowned as one of the best places in the world for whale-watching from shore, and this is one of the best lookouts.

Westside Scenic Preserve is a great place to admire the views across the Haro Strait. This preserve covers an area of ancient prairie and rocky coastline. It is also a good place for whale watching! There is a parking area which is open all the time, but there are no other facilities here.
