This park includes a series of athletics fields, a few stretches of runnable trail that you can link with the trails in nearby Crump Park, and four restored railcars from the old Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Potomac rail line.

The Meadow Farm Museum includes an 1810 farmhouse. There's also a modern building, the Parsons Community Center, which is named for a family of enslaved people who lived here. Tours of the farmhouse are offered throughout the year, and you'll find more focused historical programs here on some weekends.

Robious Landing Park is a 102-acre park on the banks of the James River. It has miles of trails, a playground, picnic areas and a floating dock. It is a popular spot for hiking, running and fishing.

Joseph Bryan Park is a 262-acre urban park. The park has 2 ponds, several streams and a large amount of grassy open spaces. There are several paved and unpaved trails to ride on.

This park pays hommage to 13 American Civil War sites in and around Richmond. The park is big – totalling over 3,000 acres. It's been preserved to look as it would have during the civil war and its wild meadows and old forests are home to diverse wildlife. At the park, you can visit Tredegar Iron Works and Chimborazo Hospital, among other historical sites.

This is a great bike path connecting Jamestown and Richmond. It follows the Scenic Route 5 for 52 miles (83 km), passing through more than 400 years of history. Along the trail, you'll find restrooms, restaurants, bike shops, convenience stores, picnic areas and historic sites.
