The Connecticut River Greenway connects quite a few parks that are situated along the Connecticut River. There are about 8 parks along this greenway as you follow it across the state.

This multi-tiered roadside waterfall isn't very large, but it's quite pretty.

The Farmington Canal Heritage Trail offers a scenic and easy ride through Cheshire and Hamden. These routes begin at the Lock 12 parking lot in Cheshire, following the original canal and rail line. The paved, mostly level trail is easy for biking and walking, with partial shade except during midday. Stretching 56 miles, the trail, along with the Farmington River Trail, forms one of New England’s most picturesque and historic greenways. Running through 11 Connecticut towns, the trail has been designated a Community Millennium Trail for its importance here to local communities.

This park has a lot going on. Fun to ride through the light display in December, and a variety of events throughout the year, including cyclocross, archery competitions, Highland games; and through it all, walkers and picnickers

This small natural area is primarily a residential neighborhood, characterized by lush greenery and a pleasing elevation change. It presents an enjoyable and challenging ride to reach this location.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is a very popular tourist destination in Springfield. The Hall of Fame moved into the current building in 2002 after using several different locations over its 55-year history. Interestingly, Court Square Park is Springfield's only topographical constant since the city's founding in 1636. The park's location hasn't significantly changed over the centuries, serving as a witness to the city's growth and transformation.

This is a lovely spot for a walk or ride. The road cuts across the lakeland landscapes of Ashley Watershed. Bear in mind that the paths are busy, especially in the evenings. You won't be able to pick up too much speed on your bike.
