Tiadaghton State Forest covers nearly 150,00- square acres and includes several other smaller natural areas, such as Algerine Wild Area directly east of here and Algerine Swamp Natural Area to the north. Hunting is allowed (including the hunting of black bears!) so wearing orange during hunting season is always a good idea.

You'll find a waterfall and small swimming pool here along Morris Run before it enters into Slate Run.

I loathe this uphill section of the "Snot"...your legs are trashed already and this one just adds misery to it..the downhill section that follows on the other side of the peak is also insane, like 6-7 rope sections.

The Black Gap Trail is one of the more popular trails in Bald Eagle State Forest. The trail is often covered in water in some sections as it crosses a number of creeks and drainages, and it has its fair share of rocky stretches to challenge more technical riders.
