Raquette Lake is a popular destination throughout the whole year. Warmer months see visitors come for camping, hiking, swimming, and fishing. While in the winter people come for snowmobiling, XC skiing, and snowshoeing. Its location amongst the Adirondack Mountains means there are plenty of other attractions nearby as well, so it makes a good base to explore the area over multiple days.

Fourth Lake is part of the 8 lake Fulton Chain of Lakes. The area is a popular recreation destination and the lakes have large numbers of a large variety of fresh water fish species. There are a number of parks, picnic areas, campgrounds, and boat launches dotted around the lake; as well as the town of Eagle Bay.
