In this beautiful section of the park, Gravel Road passes through The Saddle and is the primary junction for most trails in the Mill Valley region of the forest. The Napa River Trail is a scenic 4.3-mile route along the Napa River. The trail is in two segments; the southern stretch, shared with the Napa Valley Vine Trail, runs from Kennedy Park to near downtown Napa. Kennedy Park features family-friendly amenities like a playground, picnic areas, and a golf course, while the trail's endpoint provides access to downtown shops, restaurants, and the iconic Napa Valley Wine Train. The northern segment spans from Lincoln Avenue to Trancas Street, offering views of quiet neighborhoods and wooded riversides. Future plans include extending and connecting the trail with the Napa Valley Commuter Bike Path for a more seamless ride.
